Start of the Final Task

Now that winter break is over and we are back in school I am back in media studies and we are already getting back to work. Today in class we began our third and final project which is a crucial part of our grade on the AICE media studies exam. This final task will be completed over the next couple months as we go through all of the stages of the film making process. I am in the same group as my previous two projects: the music video, and the commercial. The group consists of Edgardo, Michael, Jontae, and myself. We believed that we worked well together on both of our last projects which is why we decided to work together again. We all agreed that our experience of working with each other will be beneficial to our goal of making a great final project.

Although this is the most rigorous of the three projects I feel the most prepared out of any of the three to begin working. This is primarily due to the fact that I have the most experience at the beginning of this project. When we initially began the first project I did not even know how to start filming on the camera or set up the tripod. However, I now know a number of skills necessary to film. This same ideal applies to the editing process. While I still do not consider myself a pro at using pinnacle studios, I would certainly say I have made great strides in improving my abilities. This definitely gives me a level of confidence which I did not have when I began the first project and I undoubtedly believe that these skills will be critical during the final task.

As it pertains to film, a pitch is a term used to describe a film idea which is explained in 25 words or less.

1. After the mysterious murders of citizens throughout a small town a detective seeks to find the man who did it before he kills again
2. A transaction of money and envelope, dad leaves his kid home, forgets to lock the door, kid is taken, police question and try to solve
3. Three men are planning to rob a millionaire but he is aware of what is about to happen
